Action is always the best method to message.
This sounds crazy but imagine if each of us today — across this hot flaming land, took five minutes to offer a water to a stranger.
Someone we didn’t know.
We could meet someone new, show humanity and generosity.
Maybe ~~
the landscaper across the street
the bus driver
your postal delivery person (no A/C in most vehicles)
parent, child or older person
Your wife or husband
You could make someone’s day, crack open a heart or two. Meet someone new, learn someone’s story.
Just takes five minutes. Iced water is especially luxurious.
I brought a glass out to the landscaper and then brought a refrigerated jug because it’s so hot to be outside.
Like Hands-Across-America (c. 1980s) — water across America.
Just because. I can’t think of an easier way to spread kindness today. Maybe someone will offer me a glass of water today.
“And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you he shall not lose his reward.” — Matthew 10:42
Today’s music is ‘We Are The World’.
“As God has shown us by turning stone to bread, And so we all must lend a helping hand.”
Action is the best method to message. Can cross language barriers, can be non-verbal, visual and tactile.
Five minutes isn’t too much. I hope I remember to do it tomorrow.
Love and peace, dear planet

Great idea.
And I don’t know whose giving or receiving the offered water in these two examples... but at today’s Happy Hour, one of us reported feeling quite down after reading some bad world news (yes, a rare thing these days) .... and went with her inner suggestion to be nice the rest of the day, even though she didn’t feel very nice ... which lifted her out of the depression. And Heidi asked for notes (which you usually send her) on three points of discussion ... which one of us had, because you showed us a way to help Heidi... so she received the notes. And you multiply this by the zillions of similar things happening each second ... and I think you have to conclude: the fascists don’t have a chance!
